Registration is Open! Click Here for Complete Season and Registration Information.
Update: Under a 2 year pilot program, U14 Boys will be allowed skate with their High School OR local Tier II association and play for Team Wisconsin. This will allow 8th grade boys to play Team Wisconsin this year.
U16 & U18 Skaters should plan to attend an open tryout on May 16th-17th. Those skaters doing well enough in the first tryout may receive an invite to our final camp May 29th-31st 2015. The U14's only tryout during the May 29th-31st weekend. After the final camp we will select our final TW teams. Plans for 2015 is to have a U14, U16, U18 and Elite Prep Team. We select our U16, U18 & Elite Prep team from the final camp May 29th-31st. Goalies who attended the WAHA Player Development tryout were evaluated and those that we thought would compete for a roster spot received an invite to our open camp May 16th-17th (U16-U18) and May 30th-31st(U14). For those that didn't attend or didn't get selected from the WAHA tryout we will have an open Goalie tryout on May 15th 8-10PM in Green Bay, this is for all TW Boys age levels(14, 16, 18 & Elite Prep).
Our Elite Prep Team the past two years has been made up of ~12 fifteen year olds and ~8 sixteen year olds. The Elite Prep team plays in a 17U Minnesota league and the competition is higher then most U16 AAA programs across the nation. We may take an occasional 17 year old who is a Junior in HS.
Do not register for TW if your not a Wisconsin resident. Per WAHA guidelines you must be a Wisconsin resident to participate with TW.
We will not have a schedule until one week prior to the two tryout dates as we tweek times and number of teams based on tryout numbers at each age group. The first weekend is just the U16/U18's and the final weekend is the U14/U16/U18's.

Why play High School Hockey
Great article on NHL players and their Minn High School Experience. College Coaches are taking note and prioritizing Team Wisconsin games and players as part of their fall and spring recruitment, many of the TW/Wisc HS players are moving on to College and some to the NHL. I'm sure if you ask them we would hear similar experiences as our neighbors to the west.

News Release: Matthew Berkovitz drafted by NHL Anaheim Ducks
TW would like to congratulate Matthew Berkovitz (TW U18) for being selected in 2014 NHL draft by the Anaheim Ducks. Matthew had a difficult decision a year ago to stay and play TW/WIAA or leave home and play in the USHL. Fortunately for Matthew, his decision to stay and play TW helped to raise his value to the NHL Scouts. Matthew was a cornerstone of TW U18's defensive core and his play in the UMEL during the fall and his play in the USA Hockey National Tournament earned Matthew these honors. Congrats and best of luck. Click here NHL.COM details

Team Wisconsin Coaching Update
TW would like to congratulate Luke Strand on his new opportunity as Head Coach and General Manager of the Madison Capitols USHL franchise. TW fully appreciates everything he brought to our program. Coach Strand was instrumental in player development, which led to multiple U16s drafted in the USHL, Division 1 Scholarships and a 2014 National Championship. As players earn their opportunity within our program, coaches are no different. Success leads to opportunity. Best wishes to Coach Strand on his new opportunity.
TW will remain a great place for players to develop both on and off the ice. The 2013-14 Season defines this thought process. In the 2013-14 season we had 15 players drafted in the USHL, 7 players receive D1 commitments and 5 players make the NHL watch list. Compare those numbers to other Tier 1 programs and you will see we are doing things right and the WIAA + TW combination is working in Wisconsin.
Having Coach Strand in our program allowed many of our coaches to mentor under him this past year and understand, teach and implement the changes in the game.
Team Wisconsin returns coaches from the 2013-14, which allows for consistency for the 2014-15 season:
- U14 Head Coach Brad Byce (TW 2013-14 U16 Coach and winner of multiple Tier 1 National Titles!)
- U16 Head Coach Paul Caufield (TW 2013-14 U14 Coach and National Quarterfinalist)
- U16 Assistant Coach Craig Johnson (TW 2013-14 U16 Assistant Coach)
- U15 Head Coach Bob Schroeder (TW 2013-14 U15 Prep Development Coach)
We are interviewing numerous candidates for the U18 Head Coach and will have that position filled in the next few weeks.
Team Wisconsin provides high school hockey players an aggressive Tier 1 schedule giving them great exposure and opportunity. TW U14,U16 and U18 play a top five Tier 1 schedule in the country, as determined by MyHockeyRankings.com strength of schedule calculations. The foundation of our success is based on player development, competition and great coaching, all of which will be a foundation of our success going forward.

Congratulations 2013-14 Boys U16 - NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!
With goal from Tony Stillwell (Assist to Broetzman and Pelton-Byce) in the FOURTH OVERTIME, Team Wisconsin comes away with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Thunderbirds! Congrats to Coach Byce, Coach Strand, Coach Johnson and all the boys on a GREAT WEEKEND capping off a GREAT SEASON!
The TW U14 and U18 Teams also had very successful championship runs: The U18 squad finished 3rd overall and the U14 boys made it to the final 8 with their only losses against the two teams that ended up in the championship. TW overall had 11 wins and 4 losses. That's impressive for any organization, but for teams that split up for four months of the season, it's extra impressive. Great job to the all the players, TW coaches and high school coaches that helped with the 2013-14 season!
