Team Wisconsin is proud to bring back the U12 Fall Program for a fifth year. This year our U13 team is a before and after team as we plan to have them National Bound. The TW program is designed to enhance WAHA Tier II programs across the state by allowing skaters to participate in elite-level showcases, tournaments, and games while allowing them to play for their local association. Below are some important details about the program.

Opportunities after Team Wisconsin Tryouts

Kids need to be kids first and enjoy life outside of hockey.  Playing a summer or fall sport outside of hockey may be the best option for development.  If your child does not make Team Wisconsin, you have a myriad of fun summer options and most of them can be a fun experience.  To save parents money on future tryouts, Great Lakes hockey will offer team placement from skaters who attend TW tryouts.  TW does not encourage or require playing summer hockey to earn a spot on TW down the road.  Coaches pick based on talent and team needs.  Anything you do in the summer is fun.  

Anything 12 and under that a parent chooses for their child should be local, low cost, 3:1 ratio of practices to games and games should be played in State or just across our borders.

Skaters for the Great Lakes teams listed above will be evaluated at the tryout for Team Wisconsin open tryouts on June 8th and 9th in Fond du Lac, WI.

• Team Wisconsin U12 will host an Open Tryout on June 8th & 9th
  • All Tier II skaters born in 2012, who played on a WAHA team, are invited to Open Tryouts June 8th & 9th in Fond du Lac, WI.
  • Skates who played Tier I (AAA) or outside of Wisconsin in the 2023-2024 season are eligible to participate as long as they play for a Tier II WAHA program in 2024-2025 season.  
• August TBD Team Wisconsin Fall Camp Weekend
• Fall season tournaments, showcases, and games will go through first weekend in October.
• Fall season practices go through September.

Team Wisconsin relies on Regional Ice for practices. Players come to the practice as individuals while coaches implement concepts, skills and team philosophies.
